It has been confirmed that the new film in the Alien franchise is scheduled to enter the production stage this coming Thursday.
The news about the upcoming science fiction-horror movie was revealed earlier this month, and according to Variety, the project will be shot in Budapest.
The feature, which will star Cailee Spaeny, will serve as the ninth entry in the long-running franchise.
The media outlet reported that the movie would be centered on 'a group of young people on a distant world, who find themselves in a confrontation with the most terrifying life form in the universe.'
The original Alien film, which was directed by Ridley Scott and starred Sigourney Weaver, premiered in 1979.
