Isabella Rossellini and Amanda Seyfried have teamed up as Lancôme ambassadors and in the process discovered that they have a lot in common.

The Blue Velvet actress, 70, and Mamma Mia star, 37, got together to shoot the brand's 'La vie est belle' campaign celebrating life and all that makes it beautiful.

'It was hard not to laugh throughout,' Seyfried told In Style. 'Laughing is good, but not when you’re trying to get some serious beauty shots as well!'

The actresses bonded over their shared enthusiasm for life, their children and their farms.

'We talked about goat rescues near her place in New York and how wild our chickens are,' Seyfried - who is 100 percent into having a cameo in the Mean Girls musical movie - said. 'She seems so invested, so involved in the same way I am. I have to visit her farm one day.'

Both actresses were dressed in white for the shoot, with Isabella wearing a white shirt with the collar popped and Amanda wearing a sleeveless top.

Dark haired Isabella wore a dark berry lipstick that made her coloring pop while blonde Amanda wore a lighter shade on her lip that was more fitting for her skin tone.

The actresses come from different countries, eras and generations but they bonded over one unique shared trait - they both own farms.

'It’s incredibly grounding to be surrounded by nature and by animals who live simply and without ego, the Mean Girls star said. 'Something happens to you when you spend a lot of time taking care of them. You breathe a little slower, walk a little slower. There’s peace there, a healing symbiosis.'

Isabella added, 'Yes — the endless learning about nature.'

And the stars also shared their first impression of each other with the outlet.
