Vanderpump Rules: The most dramatic cheating scandals after Tom Sandoval-Raquel ... trends now

Vanderpump Rules certainly has no plans of pumping the brakes after its latest scandal. 

When it came out that Tom Sandoval was cheating on Ariana Madix - his girlfriend of nine years - with her good friend, Raquel Leviss, fans were stunned. 

Sandoval and Raquel managed to keep their affair secret for seven months.

However, true followers of the show know that this is far from the first cheating controversy to shake up the group. 

From the very first season, scandalous affairs have been the pulse that kept the series' heart beating over all these years. 

The show - which follows the staff of Lisa Vanderpump's various restaurants including SUR, Pump and most recently, Tom Tom - kicked off with Jax Taylor and Stassi Schroeder's rollercoaster relationship which ended after multiple infidelities.

Since then, there have been plenty of toxic relationships ending in cheating controversies involving Kristen Doute - who dated both Sandoval and James Kennedy - James and Raquel, Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney, Lala Kent and Randall Emmett to name just a few. 

It seems that the show has featured more unfaithful relationships than faithful. Here, FEMAIL takes a look at the extensive list of Vanderpump Rules affairs. 

When Jax cheated on Stassi... for the first time

Jax and Stassi was Vanderpump Rules's first toxic couple. During season one of the show, a rumor had circulated that Jax had slept with a woman in Vegas.

Stassi continuously confronted him about the rumor, but he denied it each time. 

Eventually, at the end of season one, he was forced to come clean when he found out the woman he cheated with was pregnant.

During a confessional, he explained, 'She called me up and she said, "Listen I think I might have a problem and this is how much it's going to cost."' 

'So I sent her some money and never heard from her again,' he continued. 

He then sat down with Stassi and admitted, 'I did go to Vegas and have relations with somebody else.'

Stassi was clearly upset by his admission but quickly hit back at him.

She stated: 'You spent the last two months lying to me, lying to my best friends, bashing them when they were just helping me and telling me the truth when you were the piece of s*** the entire time.'   

'What did I ever do to you to deserve this?' Stassi asked him. 'You are an a**hole! You're not a new man, you're the same f***ing liar that you always have been.' 

'I lost my friends for months because they believed you. That's how good of a liar you are.' 

Years after their split, Stassi invited him on her podcast, Straight Up With Stassi, asked him why he felt compelled to cheat on her. 

'I'm a bad example, but it just became easy, it was like instinct,' he shared. 'And that's really sad and that's really disturbing that it almost became like I knew I was gonna do it.'

'Like, it was just an OK thing. Most people would be like, "OK, I'm doing this. I'm doing this." I didn't think about it. I just did it, and I didn't care.'

'So that would make you somewhat of a sociopath, not a full one, and I'm not saying a full-blown one,' Stassi retorted.

Then Kristen - Stassi's best friend - slept with Jax... while she was dating Tom Sandoval

A new affair took over season two. Jax and Stassi still remained at the center of the drama but it sizzled to a new level when Stassi's best friend Kristen got in the middle.

Even though they were split up at the time, Jax was determined to win Stassi back when word got out that he had slept with her best friend, Kristen, while they were still together.

Meanwhile, Kristen was also in a relationship. She was dating Sandoval at the time.

Even though both Jax and Kristen repeatedly denied the affair, one of their close friends Katie Maloney drunkenly told Stassi the rumor was true.

Stassi tricked Jax into getting drunk and admitting that he had slept with Kristen twice.

She then arranged a big dinner with friends during which she called out and publicly humiliated Kristen.

Kristen still attempted to deny the rumors which led to Stassi infamously calling her a 'dirty f***ing w***e' and slapping her across the face.

Later on, Kristen did confess to sleeping with Jax during a private moment with Stassi and Sandoval. Shortly after, Sandoval confronted Jax and punched him.

In a Bravo blog post, Kristen revealed why she didn't initially come clean: 'Hindsight is always 20/20 and watching back I wish I had just told the truth when Jax spilled our secret. I was so afraid of the repercussions that I literally planned on taking it to my grave.'

'In the moment, I would have done anything to make Jax look like the liar because I felt my entire life was on the line,' she admitted.

Kristen reflected on the incident in her 2020 memoir, He's Making You Crazy. She explained that she and Jax were drunk, and felt she had done it for attention.  

'I know we were both drunk, but also that we made a mutual, consensual decision,' she wrote. 

'I'm still not sure how it could have happened, but it did. I slept with my boyfriend's best friend, who not too long before this used to date my former best friend.

'Looking back, I just wanted attention and affection. And it didn't matter anymore from whom or from where.'

It turned out Stassi had also cheated on Jax

Stassi wasn't necessarily as innocent as she portrayed in regards to her relationship with Jax.

During the season one reunion, Jax's affair with the woman in Las Vegas was brought up.

Host Andy Cohen had asked Stassi if she was ever unfaithful to Jax, to which she responded that she '100 per cent' did not cheat on him.

However, during the Vanderpump Rules: Uncensored show three years later, she came clean and admitted she had actually cheated on Jax too. 

'This is so awful - I lied to Andy Cohen,' Stassi admitted of her initial denial at the end of season one, adding, 'I just had to say no and fight to the death.'

She admitted that the reason that she lied was because she didn't want Jax to make her out to be 'the bad guy.' 

'It would be so like Jax, after freshly impregnating someone in Vegas, to make me look like I'm the bad guy,' she explained.

While Andy claimed he was shocked by the revelation, Jax insisted he knew but 'didn't feel the need to take Stassi down with me.'

She also defended herself by claiming she had extra dirt on him that she chose not to share at the time.

'Six months into us dating I hacked into his Facebook and saw that he was messaging all these inappropriate obscene things,' she admitted with a smile.

'Looking back on it I'm sure he probably cheated like 58 times.'

So who did she cheat on Jax with? 

Well, it turned out her fling was with the SUR bartender she dated shortly after her split with Jax: Frank Herlihy.

And Tom Sandoval also cheated on Kristen with Ariana... among others

Sandoval's hands were also dirty when it came to the end of his and Kristen's relationship.  

Kristen had initially accused him of hooking up with their co-worker, Ariana.

He repeatedly denied the claims before eventually admitting that they had made out. However, Kristen had suspected that something more went down between the two of them.

Recounting the night it happened in a Bravo blog post, Kristen wrote: 'In mid-November, Tom had gone out with friends one night and didn't come home.

'After waking up several times throughout the night/morning, he suddenly appeared in bed around 10 am. 

'After finding a photo booth strip on our living room floor of he and Ariana, I went through his phone (not proud) and found all of the evidence that I needed to prove that he was at her house around 7 am.

'I asked him simply what he did the night before, why he didn't come home, and if he was with Ariana... After a lot of tears and some arguing, he finally admitted the truth and that they had once again kissed. 

'Now that time has passed, the details of their affair aren't as important, but I know in my gut that it was more than a kiss.'

While the main reason they had broken up was because of Kristen's affair with his best friend, Jax, she tried to defend herself by implying that Sandoval had cheated more times than she had.

'I did have an emotional/sexual affair with someone years ago and I did sleep with Jax,' she admitted. 'Tom cheated with five girls in five and a half years.' 

Eventually, Kristen would admit that she had also cheated on Sandoval multiple times. 

'I don't deny the fact that I cheated on you. I f***ed a ton of guys behind your back,' she said in season five, to which he replied: 'Two in one weekend.' 

Then Tom Sandoval is rumored to have cheated on Ariana with infamous 'Miami girl'

After Kristen and Sandoval split, he started dating Ariana a short time later during season three. However, that didn't mean that Kristen was done with her smear campaign against him.

Kristen was determined to expose Sandoval for cheating once again after a woman from Miami named Annemarie Kunkel - infamously dubbed Miami Girl - claimed that he had slept with her.

During season three of the show, Annemarie told Kristen she was flying from Miami to LA to confront Sandoval in front of Ariana. 

So Kristen met up with Annemarie when she landed and arranged a surprise confrontation. 

Sandoval was thrown when Annemarie suddenly popped up at SUR, but he quickly realized Kristen was the mastermind. 

'Immediately, I put it together. Kristen's right there with a front row seat,' he explained. 'She put this together. She made this happen. What a f***ing nutjob.'

Later on, she confronts him in front of Ariana, yelling: 'We had sex. You're such a f***ing liar right now.' 

After Ariana swipes back, she retorts: 'You're just pissed off because your boyfriend is f***ing cheating on you and you're in denial.' 

Regardless of the 'evidence' Miami Girl claimed she had, Ariana stood by her man. 

'Kristen has got this girl on some sort of mental journey with her that Sandoval's gonna go down in flames because he's some sort of awful person,' she said in a confessional.  

On top of Miami Girl's convictions, Jax had admitted to Kristen and Scheana that Sandoval did have sex with Annemarie, but Ariana insisted Jax was lying when it aired. 

In 2021, it seemed Ariana still believed Sandoval was faithful and at the time, admitted they both had regrets about how the confrontation went down. 

'If I can just do anything over again, I just would have never even filmed with [Miami girl]. I just don't think it's really fair,' he told Us Weekly.

'Like, so I can, like, make up something about anybody and then end up on our show?'

He continued: 'I wish I would have just never even engaged in that at all.'

Ariana also added that she wishes she had confronted Annemarie rather than run away from the situation and having security bring her out.

However, in light of his affair with Raquel, Ariana may be feeling differently about his innocence in the Miami Girl scandal. 

When James cheated on Kristen with SUR employee Jenna Willis

After her relationship with Sandoval, Kristen had a brief relationship with James Kennedy.

Their relationship was notoriously volatile, as they both have fiery tempers. So it's no surprise that this couple went down in flames after infidelity once again reared its ugly head. 

Kristen and James both attended Scheana Shay's 30th birthday - even though she wasn't invited. 

After she left, James ended up staying until three in the morning and eventually, it came out that he was with a friend of theirs named Jenna Willis.

At first James, denied that anything happened between him and Jenna. 

'At the time, I didn't really have a reason not to believe James and DAMN his story was convincing,' Kristen wrote in a blog post at the time. 

She continued: 'There was a slight doubt in my mind, but I blamed myself for that because of the mistakes I had made (and lies I had told) in past relationships. James did his homework and knew exactly how to play me.'
