Emmerdale viewers voiced their fears for Leyla Harding as she was threatened by drug dealer Callum in Thursday night's episode after getting him arrested.

In tense scenes, Leyla found herself in hot water when she and her friend Suzy Merton filmed Callum dealing drugs in a nightclub, leading to his arrest.

Leyla's drug addiction tore her family apart after Callum stabbed her son Jacob, and fuelled by rage, Leyla told the dealer she was the one who called the police on him.

However, after the video didn't prove enough to charge Callum with any crime, he then charged into her home and violently threatened her and Suzy.

Viewers voiced their fears for Leyla as she came into conflict with Callum, with the drug dealer telling her 'the gloves are off' before threatening her son Jacob.

And things are set to get even worse for Leyla as a spoiler for next week revealed that her life will hang in the balance as she is set to be kidnapped by Callum.

Taking to Twitter after Thursday's tense twist, one viewer penned: 'Leyla Leyla Leyla...... not gonna end well.'

Another commented: 'Leyla I think well know that you will feel the repercussions of grassing Callum up next week. Tonight explained next weeks action.'

A third wrote: 'Leyla's in big trouble now…', while a fourth added: 'Leyla and Suzy are taken hostage.'

The drama kicked off in Thursday's episode when Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) agreed to go out clubbing for a fun night out with her pal Suzy (Martelle Edinborough).

Commenting on her drug addiction, Suzy said: 'You don't need to be putting yourself in situations where you can get triggered.'

But Leyla insisted: 'I tell you what, we get ready, we hit the mean streets of Leeds, we rip up that dance floor and I will tell you if it gets too much and I'll call a cab.'

Suzy kindly said: 'If you're not drinking, I'm not drinking.'

While she was later touching up her make-up in the club bathroom, Leyla was forced to resist temptation when a group of girls starting doing drugs.

She quickly ran out of the bathroom when the group started talking about where to find the drug dealer, and Suzy then asked her if she was OK.

To which she responded: 'Just seen some girls in the toilet doing coke, apparently the dealer is here. Temptation presented itself and I walked away, and now I want to dance.'

Leyla then spotted the drug dealer the girls had been talking about and saw it was none other than Callum (Tom Ashley), who stabbed her son Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant).

She said: 'Oh God, it's Callum.'

To which Suzy responded: 'Could he be any more obvious.'

Leyla fumed that he was a 'low-life' who 'nearly killed' her son, with Suzy urging her to forget about him and enjoy her night.

But Leyla said: 'I wish I could, can't believe he's still on the streets. He's got away with absolutely everything.'

Suzy responded: 'If anyone has got it coming it's Callum. We need to be smart about this.'

Listening to her friend's words, Leyla then decided to film Callum while he was in the middle of a drug deal.

Smirking, she said: 'This time I've got evidence, the police will love to see this.'

Later, Callum was seen being dragged out of the club in handcuffs by police, despite his objections that they had 'got the wrong guy'.

Fuelled by her rage and unable to keep quiet, Leyla then charged over to Callum and threw it in his face that she was the one who reported him to the police.

She fumed: 'I'm the one who told them who you were. The footage of you dealing helps, one less scumbag on the streets. I hope they throw away the key Callum!'
