Jason Derulo tipped a waiter in Nebraska $5,000, which would help the current college student through school.

The Whatcha Say singer, 33, went out to eat at Charleston's Restaurant in Omaha on Sunday and left his waiter with an extravagant tip for his service.

The waiter, whose name is Jordan Schaffer, later posted a TikTok shouting out the hitmaker for his act of kindness.

'Hey Jason, thank you. You just paid for a semester at my college. I can't thank you enough,' he said.

In the video, Schaffer could be overheard talking to Derulo at his table after receiving the tip, 'Wow, my heart's beating really fast.'

To which Jason responded by saying: 'You guys are really awesome man.'

The Want to Want Me singer was seated at a large table and surrounded by members of his family and friends.

He was dressed casually in a tie-dye orange and white hoodie and had his hair dyed bright blue.

The video then cut to the college student's face where spoke to the camera and personally thanked the actor.

He added: 'I hope you and your family have a wonderful time in Omaha. And I hope you see us again. Thank you so much.'

Schaffer then lifted up the receipt to the camera to show the gift he was given.
