Jessica Alba has revealed she developed a 'warrior' persona to protect herself from 'Hollywood predators' as a young actress.

The actress, 41, who shot to fame aged 19 in Dark Angel was asked if 'being objectified as a sex symbol as a young actress' bothered her at the time during a recent episode of Who's Talking to Chris Wallace?

She said: 'I understood I needed to help sell the product, I understood it as a business decision and a strategy.

'I don't think there's anything wrong with owning your sexuality, but at the time I was definitely not that person, I was nervous about all of that.

Asked by Wallace how she dealt with that, Alba responded: 'I was a warrior. I put up that energy... I was really tough, man.
