Two-time Emmy nominee Christina Ricci regrets posing in pink lingerie at age 19 for the 'Nice & Naughty' cover of Rolling Stone in 1999 after starring in Vincent Gallo's Buffalo '66 and Don Roos' The Opposite of Sex.

'It's not how I would have chosen to be dressed, but it's very much of its time. Not great,' the 43-year-old former child star confessed to the same mag last Wednesday.

'When I was growing up, the second you looked like a teenager, you had to quit. I got very lucky, because [I] coincided with independent films wanting to cast actual teenagers to play teenagers.'

Christina admitted she 'was a bit of a d***head' while doing interviews back then, saying: 'I could have handled it in a way that was less teenage.'

To this day, Ricci 'finds myself starting to feel a little bit more devil-may-care about the things I say. And that's not good for me. I always go too far. I never realize how awful a thing I'm saying is until someone else is like, "What the f***?"'

The Cali-born, New Jersey-raised actress also admitted she suffered from anorexia for a year in her teens.

'The amount of years spent obsessed with trying to make sure nobody could criticize you for your appearance... I really have embraced this body-positivity thing,' Christina said.

'It's such a f***ing relief to know that nobody's allowed to call you fat. [When] people complain about things like that, I'm always like, "Haven't you heard? We don't have to worry about that anymore!"'

Ricci has changed since she welcomed two children - son Frederick, 9; and daughter Cleopatra, 15 months - from her marriages to dolly grip James Heerdegen and hairstylist Mark Hampton.

'I had gotten to a very nihilistic place by the time I had my son,' the Wednesday star recalled.

'So it made me more emotional, and more willing to admit that I'm human.'
