Jamie Lee Curtis leaves fans in hysterics as she places her Oscar next to a ... trends now

Jamie Lee Curtis encouraged an overwhelming reaction from fans after placing her newly acquired Oscar alongside another, more dubious looking trophy on Wednesday. 

The veteran star won the golden statuette for Best Supporting Actress at the 95th annual Academy Awards on Sunday evening, one of seven Oscars collected from 11 nominations by absurdist comedy Everything Everywhere All At Once. 

And Curtis, 64, who takes a starring role as several alternate versions of IRS auditor Deirdre Beaubeirdre in the multiverse spanning film, acknowledged one of its more memorable props as she celebrated the win on Instagram. 

Sharing a photo with followers, the actress revealed her Academy Award and Screen Actors Guild Award - received in February after Curtis triumphed in the category for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role - had been placed either side of Dierdre's fictional 'Auditor of the Month' trophy.

The object, fashioned to resemble a sex toy, features numerous times throughout the Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert directed film, and amused fans were quick to pick up on its placement while commenting on the post. 

Referencing the X-rated prop, one fan commented: 'Can borrow the one in the middle?' 

A second quipped: 'Whoever made the design for the middle one needs to be prosecuted and asked a few questions.' 

Elsewhere a third amused follower wrote: 'Are we not gonna talk about the shape of the auditor of the month award? Becauseeee...' 

Another promptly added: 'This is the holy trinity.' 

Meanwhile a fifth follower joked: 'Is that..... Is that one meant to be sat on? Is that the award?' 

Even the official Screen Actors Guild Awards Instagram account got involved, adding: 'We love being next to 'Auditor of the Month.''
