The late cricketer, who was known to be a heavy smoker, was allowed to duck off screen for frequent cigarette breaks during filming on the show.
I'm A Celeb host Dr Chris Brown revealed the secret arrangement during the Jase & Lauren radio show on KIIS FM on Monday.
'There's rules for Warnie and there's rules for everyone else. No one else has ever got the privileges that Warnie got,' Brown admitted.
Brown added that only Shane was allowed to slip off into the jungle for a 'smoko' - a privilege afforded to no other contestant.
