Eva Longoria draws the ire of Young and Restless star Eric Braeden trends now
Eva Longoria has drawn the ire of former Young and the Restless co-star Eric Braeden after revealing she kept her soap opera profession a secret at a second job she held at the time.
During a recent interview on Who's Talking to Chris Wallace?, Longoria, 48, claimed she continued working as a headhunter at a temp agency to supplement the salary she made on The Young and the Restless.
Longoria described concealing her acting profession from clients because she didn't want them to think 'a dumb actress' was 'handling their accounts.'
Braeden, who has been on Young and the Restless since 1980, took umbrage to her comments, blasting them as 'derogatory' and insisting she simply didn't have what it took to 'survive' the intense medium.
'EVA LONGORIA: you just made derogatory remarks about daytime actors! You simply weren’t good enough to survive the pressures of this medium! You were very lucky to get on that “housewife” show!' the 81-year-old actor tweeted.

After one fan asked if Longoria planned to apologize, Eric replied: 'She doesn’t need to apologize ! I simply reacted to hearing this while watching CNN and CHRIS WALLACE, who I respect!
'But when the soap medium is being denigrated by anyone, I’ll go after them! This is the hardest medium for an actor, PERIOD!!! Be effing proud of it!!!'
When one fan pointed out they believed Eva was not actually criticizing soap actors, Braeden insisted he took issue with the 'obvious embarrassment' she felt over the role.
