Radio veteran Colin Cameron has died aged 87 after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
He landed his first radio gig in 1953 at 2MG in Mudgee after winning competitions on 2UE and 2GB.
Cameron became radio manager at 4LG in Longreach at just 23, Radio Today reported.
He worked alongside the likes of John Laws, Bob Rogers and Tony Withers early in his career.
