Home and Away star Georgie Parker recently announced she is leaving the show for an extended break to pursue her theatre dreams.
And on Tuesday, the actress insisted the departure is only temporary and she has no plans to quit the soap.
The 58-year-old says she will stay as long as her co-star, Ray Meagher, who plays Alf Stewart, remains on the series.
'I'm very fortunate that [producers] are very flexible, and they let me go to do other things which is very important for me. I'm very, very grateful for it,' she tells Yahoo.
'Honestly, while Ray's there I wouldn't leave because my character is his daughter and my storyline revolves around him.'
