Actress Justine Clarke has posed in front of a haunting image of former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard to promote her one-woman play, Julia. 

The co-production between the Sydney Theatre Company and Canberra Theatre Centre premiered in Canberra on Tuesday night. 

Playschool's Justine Clarke is portraying Julia in the play, who was the first and only Prime Minister of Australia from 2010-2013.  

On the opening night of the play, Justine posed in front of a massive electronic photo of Julia that was part of the spectacular production. 

Posing as the former Prime Minister, she donned the Labour colours in red wide-leg pants and a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up.
