B.J. Novak sweetly supported his ex-girlfriend Mindy Kaling as she was honored with a National Medal of Arts in the East Room of the White House in Washington, DC on Tuesday.
The 43-year-old Massachusetts native beamed beside President Joe Biden as she received her medallion for 'advancing the arts in America and offering inspiration to others through their distinguished achievement, support, or patronage.'
Bruce Springsteen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Gladys Knight, and Vera Wang were honored with National Medal of Arts at the same prestigious event.
Kaling flaunted her recent 40lb weight loss (rumored to be the result of the trendy diabetic drug Ozempic) in a short-sleeved lavender mini-dress and matching pumps selected by stylist Hayley Atkin.
Hairstylist Marc Mena coiffed Mindy's side-parted raven bob and make-up artist Eva Kim made sure she was ready for her close-up.

And in the audience applauding was B.J. (born Benjamin Joseph), who's been practically inseparable from the six-time Emmy nominee he dated on/off between 2005-2013.
Kaling and Novak famously wrote and starred as Dunder Mifflin love interests Kelly Kapoor and Ryan Howard on NBC's mockumentary sitcom The Office.
