Amanda Bynes may have wandered around for DAYS before she was found trends now

Amanda Bynes may have roamed the streets for days before she was discovered naked and put on psychiatric hold, a new report has claimed.

The troubled actress, 36, was hospitalized after she was seen walking near downtown Los Angeles early on Sunday morning without any clothes on - she was later placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold.

According to TMZ, friends close to the star believe she may have been on the streets for several days before she waved a car down for help and asked to call 911.

The publication has claimed that Byne's car was towed on March 15 in Long Beach, which is 40 miles from her home and 25 miles from where she was found.

Insiders have suggested that Amanda hitchhiked or took public transport to get around. TMZ reported that Amanda got a ride to Beverly Hills from a stranger but then asked to return to Hollywood. 

They claimed that since Amanda arrived at a mental health facility on Sunday she has made improvements but her involuntary hold - which typically lasts 72 hours - is expected to be extended.

It comes after DailyMail.com revealed that Amanda was seen having a night out in Hollywood on St Patrick's Day on Friday - less than two days before she was placed on a psychiatric hold.

The video shows the She's The Man star clad in a black tee with a bone design, paired with joggers and sneakers as she walks with a friend on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on March 17.

The actress appears coherent as she chats with her friend on the night out, recorded less than two days before she would be found wandering naked and alone in the midst of a 'psychotic episode' and hours before she canceled a scheduled public appearance on Saturday.

The star was also captured on a fan's TikTok, which was captioned: 'Happy she's getting the help she needs. she was sweet, gave her some money and talked. sometime ppl just need sb to talk to. '

In the clip, the fan says 'I saw her walking and had to say what's up?' as Amanda says: 'What's up.' 

Bynes' former fiancé Paul Michael claims she had gone 'off her meds' before she was put on a psychiatric hold.  

Paul, who has been in an on-off relationship with Amanda since they broke off their engagement last July before getting back together a month later, told Page Six: 'She got off her meds, and she's still off her meds... She's wild.'

Paul added he and Amanda are 'friends now', after it was reported they had been living together in LA.

Amanda previously accused Paul on her Instagram of not 'taking his medications,' relapsing with 'crack cocaine' and watching 'mom-and-son porn' before she 'kicked him out' of her house.

He added: '(Amanda) tried to kick me out, but I left to get my own place. I moved home and established boundaries.'

Paul also insisted Amanda fabricated her previous drug use and pornography accusations against him, claiming she 'embarrassed' him in order 'to keep the attention off her.'

He said: 'She acted to shame me away,' adding Amanda 'lied and cheated and had too many flings the entire time' they were together.

Bynes and Michael famously got engaged on Valentine's Day 2020, mere months after staying at the same sober living facility.
