Mark Zuckerberg's wife Priscilla Chan welcomes their third child, a daughter ... trends now

Mark Zuckerberg and his 37-year-old wife Priscilla have welcomed their third child together.

The Meta founder announced the happy news on his very own Instagram platform on Friday morning.

The 38-year-old shared that their third child is a daughter that they have named Aurelia Chan Zuckerberg.

'Welcome to the world, Aurelia Chan Zuckerberg! You're such a little blessing,' the New York native captioned the post. 

Mark is seen beaming at the swaddled baby and his wife is seen in a second image holding Aurelia on her chest while still in her hospital bed. 

They already have daughters Maxima, seven, born in December 2015, and August, five, born in August 2017.

In January he said he was looking forward to a new baby in the house.

The Meta founder captioned the image: 'Happy New Year! Here's to all of the adventures and love coming in 2023.'

Zuckerberg wore a tuxedo and has one hand rested on his wife's pregnant stomach. 

His suggestion that love is coming in 2023 comes as Meta suffered economic devastation last year. 

In January 2022 its share price was around $340 but it ended the year around 60 percent lower at $125.

In November last year Zuckerberg announced the first major layoffs in the 18-year history of Meta, formerly named Facebook. 

The CEO admitted he 'got it wrong' in a message to employees, telling them he 'takes responsibility' for the cuts - which made up 13 percent of Meta's workforce.

He first announced the expectation of the third baby just a month prior through a post on Instagram - owned by Meta.

'Lots of love. Happy to share that Max and August are getting a new baby sister next year,' he wrote, alongside a different photo in which he also placed his hand on his wife's stomach.
