A source gave an update on Megan Fox and fiancé Machine Gun Kelly's current relationship status.

The insider spoke to People and said the couple is 'in therapy' but the 36-year-old actress is 'having a hard time trusting' her partner.

It comes after last month the Midnight In The Switchgrass star uploaded a cryptic Instagram post with lyrics about 'dishonesty,' and deleted every photo of the rapper, 32, from her page.

'This is really boiling down to not working,' the person close to the duo dished to the publication.

'There have been points where they haven't been speaking — it's been that bad.'

Another person added that they are 'still working on their issues' and 'only time will tell if they get back together properly, but it looks pretty unlikely right now.'

It was noted that the twosome 'always had kind of a tumultuous relationship' that has 'never been easy - it's always been very up and down.'

'Megan was thrilled when they got engaged, though. She really loves him,' the closely affiliated source explained.

'She was never one to casually date, so she put her whole heart into their relationship. She isn't happy now, though. She took her engagement ring off a while ago, and it's not back on.'

Megan has wiped her Instagram clean since the drama ensued, while MGK — born Colson Baker — posted as recently as Friday.

Taking to the content-sharing platform's Stories he uploaded a black and white photo of himself looking at his reflection in his guitar and announced an upcoming documentary.

He wrote above the snapshot, '1 year since our first grammy nominated album came out.

'I named it Mainstream Sellout to lighten the mood of such a gate keeping genre but words trivialize the true impact of it so I'll be releasing a full length backstage / concert film in May before we begin our European tour to celebrate and reconnect with the fans who've watched our YouTube vlogs for the last decade.'
