Married At First Sight's Harrison Boon has shared a shocking joke he made that didn't air on television.

The builder revealed in an interview on the Sit With Us podcast, he made a 'sarcastic' quip to expert Mel Schilling about being cast for another show.

'Mel asked the question "why didn't you take it seriously coming into the show?",' he explained.

'I said, "Well Mel, I've been cast for another show before this and it fell through and they said the reason they didn't pick me was because I was too ruggedly handsome and masculine. Unfortunately that's something I have to live with".'

'Aren't you glad that didn't air?' co-host Ella Ding asked.

Elsewhere in the interview,  Harrison admitted he didn't like how he was portayedon the dating show but insisted most of his scenes didn't make it to air.

'Watching as a viewer, I hate myself on the show. I'm like, this guy is a gaslighting narcissist, doesn't take any accountability. But you haven't seen so much,' he said.

Harrison has been at the centre of most of the drama on MAFS this season, and things are only set to get more explosive at next week's reunion event.

He rocks up with receipts in the form of damning texts that he says will expose his ex-wife Bronte Schofield as a fraud.
