The Challenge Anneka reboot been temporarily pulled from TV schedules after struggling to contend in the 'highly competitive' Saturday night slot.
The revived entertainment show, fronted by host Anneka Rice, 64, returned to screens earlier this month nearly 30 years after the original show came to an end.
However, after airing just two episodes, Channel 5 the programme will be rescheduled to air at a later time after struggling in the ratings war during the coveted time slot.
A Channel 5 spokesperson told MailOnline: 'The first episode of Challenge Anneka was enjoyed by 1.25 million / 10% viewers, but Saturday evenings are always highly competitive, especially at this time of year.
'The public and critical reaction to Challenge Anneka’s return has been amazing and we have decided to preserve the remaining two shows and reschedule them soon.'

The latest episode of Challenge Anneka is said to have pulled in a disappointing 400,000 viewers, according to The Sun.
This is a major contrast to the likes of ITV's Saturday Night Takeaway which bagged 4 million watchers, while Starstruck garnered 2.2 million viewers in the same time
