Sir Rod Stewart is currently on tour in Australia and he shocked fans earlier this month by making a surprise visit to a Bunnings Warehouse in Melbourne.
During an interview on 3AW radio on Thursday, the legendary rocker, 78, said he loves shopping at the hardware store and revealed his latest purchase.
'There is always stories about famous people in town. And someone we know swears when you were last in Melbourne, they saw you in a Bunnings hardware store and you were buying two pieces of wood,' host Ross Stevenson said.
'Yes that's correct, I love Bunnings,' Stewart admitted.
'My guess is that you were buying two pieces of wood to attach somewhere to your model railway,' Stevenson asked.

Stewart laughed before adding: 'You're absolutely right, you go that one spot on.'
'I found this particular angled wood that you can't get in England so I'm trying to get it to England but we haven't found our way to do it yet.'
