Shaughna Phillips has begged her fans not to send her any 'horror stories' of being induced and admitted her 'anxiety' ahead of giving birth.

The former Love Island star, 28, is currently expecting her first child with boyfriend Billy Webb, 29, and passed her due date on March 25.

Shaughna took to Instagram on Wednesday to share that she will be induced on Sunday as she gave her 1.4million followers a birth update.

Induction is when labour is started artificially by a health professional, often when a baby is overdue.

But on Thursday, Shaughna took to her Instagram Stories to ask her fans not to send her 'horror stories' of being induced after she received some negative messages.

She said hearing negative stories is not 'helpful' as she admitted her 'anxiety' ahead of becoming a first-time mother.

Shaughna, who will be raising her child as a single parent after her boyfriend's arrest, said being 'mum-shamed' is the last thing she needs right now.

She penned: 'Polite request. Please refrain from sending me your horror stories of being induced, or your opinions on why me being induced is wrong for my baby.

'I appreciate you may mean well, but it is not helpful. As a first-time mum, you will know the anxiety I am already feeling, and the last thing I need to hear is horrible experiences or being mum-shamed.

'Thank you for all the lovely messages I've received, they far outweigh the negative ones.'

It comes after Shaughna shared with her fans that she will be induced in just a few days time on Sunday after she passed her due date last week.

Shaughna said her child clearly wants to be an April baby like her, as the star will mark her 29th birthday on April 11 - just nine days after her planned induction.

Sharing a selfie of herself looking concerned to her Instagram Stories, she penned: 'Induction booked for Sunday. My March babe clearly wants to be an April babe like her mama.'

The expectant mother also detailed her health woes as she joked that her followers would call her an 'ambulance' if she hadn't put a filter on the snap.

'If I didn't have a filter on my face one of my followers would definitely call an ambulance for me,' she added.
