Reese Witherspoon officially files for divorce from estranged husband Jim Toth trends now
Reese Witherspoon has now officially filed for divorce from her estranged husband Jim Toth, a week after announcing the end of their marriage.
The Legally Blonde star, 47, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason behind their split in court documents obtained by TMZ.
The documents were filed in Nashville, Tennessee, where the couple lives with their 10-year-old son Tennessee.
The documents reveal the couple agreed to a prenuptial agreement in March 2011. Reese indicated the contract was valid, 'providing "adequate and sufficient provisions" for their assets and debts,' TMZ reports.
Reese noted she will turn over their prenuptial agreement and a permanent parenting plan for Tennessee for approval from the judge.

As the divorce was filed in Davidson County, Reese and her estranged husband will now have to take mandatory parenting classes. They have 60 days to present a certificate of completion to the court.
The filing comes a week after Reese and Jim announced their divorce on social media, just two days before their 12 year wedding anniversary.
A source has since provided some insight into their recent decision to end their marriage.
A source told People that it was 'very difficult' for the movie star to accept that she and her former partner, 52, were 'two very different people.'
Someone close to the two noted that the ambitious producer 'has her hand in a lot of pots' and Toth 'prefers less frenzy.'
It was added that, 'They've been spending less and less time together while she was working.'
More than ten years after tying the knot, the longtime duo recently 'found themselves with fewer interests in common.'
