Danny Dyer revealed the time he singed himself on a BBQ in a very awkward place, leaving his daughter Dani very shocked.

On Sunday night's episode of Channel 4's Absolutely Dyer: Danny and Dani do Italy, the father and daughter duo embarked on a cultural tour of Italy for their brand new travel show.

They took in the picturesque scenery, history and art around the country, kicking their visit off in Sicily with a week exploring and sampling food.

But in between the moments of travel and culture, Eastenders actor Danny had a hilarious story to tell about a mishap with a barbecue.

Speaking about his barbecue skills, Danny, 45, said: 'I take my meat very seriously.'

His Love Island winner daughter Dani, 26, replied: 'I know you do. I trust you with a barbecue and all... even though you did burn your stomach on the barbecue didn't you.'

However Danny went on to reveal that the burning incident was even more unfortunate than his daughter originally thought.

He continued, in a typically candid discussion: 'Yes I took my top off and I was too close to it. And the top of my winkle!'

Poor Dani was left flabbergasted by his confession and asked: 'How did that happen!'

At her response Danny looked sheepish, simply saying: 'Sometimes it happens.'

Viewers of Absolutely Dyer: Danny and Dani Do Italy were in hysterics during Sunday night's episode as the actor performed a dramatic monologue of fairy tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Danny and Dani were seen visiting The Bay of Poets, which is located in the northern Tyrrhenian Sea off the west coast of Italy, as they attempted to broaden their cultural horizons.

The gulf, praised by the likes of wordsmiths Lord Byron, Percy Bysshe and Mary Shelley, D. H. Lawrence, Virginia Woolf and many more, attracts lovers of the spoken word.

Father-daughter duo Danny and Dani were seen setting off on a 'poetry sailing', which cockney Danny described as an opportunity for some 'word nuts to perform to an audience at sea'.

Danny told how he was close to late playwright and screenwriter Harold Pinter after he appeared in some of his plays, with Danny saying he admired how he was fascinated by the way he used words, claiming Harold introduced him to 'literature and the musicality of words'.

The Human Traffic star said of his career: 'I'm in the word game because I'm an actor. So my job is that I'm a salesman. I sell words. I can make words and sentences interesting.

'Being an actor, you're the waiter, and the writer of that piece is the chef. Depending what he f**king writes, you've got to serve it up to the audience. If it's s**t, you're f**ked.

'What does an actor need? They need a f**king good chef.'

Danny was then seen taking centre stage on a sailing boat out at sea while surrounded by locals who eagerly waited to see him perform.

He opted to put his spin on the 19th-century English fairy tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears which tells the story of an old woman who enters the home of three bears while they are away, with the creatures returning home to find someone had been eating their food, sitting in their chairs and sleeping in their beds.

Danny successfully ad-libbed his way through the yarn and, while many people looking on appeared totally baffled, his performance was met with an enthusiastic round of applause.

He said afterwards: 'I think it's a fascinating tale. You know, little treacle bowling around, breaking into people's houses,
