MasterChef fans were left giggling at Greg Wallace's cheeky innuendo as he sent contestant Diya Kotecha-Lodhia packing on Friday night's show.

Following a tough Knockout stage, the cooks hopes of reaching the final were dashed when her onion bhajis failed to impress the judges.

Viewers saw Diya dish up the Indian fritter with a side of two sweet chutneys for starter, followed by an east African curry.

The judges were left 'underwhelmed' by her starter and said that her main dish was 'didn't quite work'.

But it was Gregg's accidental innuendo that left fans at home in stitches, when reflecting on the starter he simply said: 'I found those ball's really quite salty.'
