Netflix has confirmed that the controversial reality TV show Outlast has been renewed for a second series.
The streaming platform took to Twitter to announce that a second instalment of the 'ruthless' survivalist show will soon be on its way.
The first series saw 16 contestants who identified as 'lone wolves' split into four teams and compete for a chance to win a cash prize in the Alaskan wilderness.
Netflix has not yet confirmed a release date for the second series, but it is expected to follow a similar format as its debut season.
Announcing the show's future, Netflix tweeted: 'Outlast has been renewed for season two.'
