Halle Bailey stunned as she walked the blue carpet at the Australian premiere of The Little Mermaid at Sydney's State Theatre on Monday. 

The American actress, who stars as Ariel in the remake, was ethereal in a baby blue gown that fit her mermaid persona. 

The fitted dress featured a scalloped, corset style bodice in a satin fabric with glittering embellishments. 

It was flanked by chiffon which flowed down the sides of the gown reaching floor length to create a short train. 

The beauty added a pair of statement earrings that matched the theme, and opted for blue eye shadow that mirrored the tone of her frock.

Also turning heads was Melissa McCarthy who went bold in a 1960s style tunic dress with sparkling purple sequins through the front. 

The dress, in a silk fabric, featured a bright pattern throughout, and reached floor length. 

The comedic actress added a pair of dangling earrings and wore a sparkling diamond necklace.

She added a pair of nude heels and dangling earrings, while slicking her dark hair off her face.

The former star of The Wiggles added a pair of silver Mary Jane heels to her look and had an elaborate seashell tiara upon her head.

Emma opted for a porcelain makeup look with a rosy blush and a pale pink lip gloss, while wearing her red curls down and partially pinned off her face.

Also invited to the event was Ricki-Lee Coulter who stood out in a red, floor-length gown with a plunging neckline cinched in with a metallic belt. 

Actress Sarah Roberts also stunned in a neon yellow gown with cut outs that showed off some skin, along with silver heels.  

Courtney Act was a showstopper as always, choosing a faux fur ensemble in tones of sea green, black and white, over a sheer black mesh top. 

Actress Miranda Tapsell was chic in a sleeveless, red column dress that reached floor length.
