Matt Roloff of Little People, Big World is out of the hospital after suffering complications from what was supposed to be a 'routine' procedure.
The reality star, 61, whose son Zach underwent emergency brain surgery in February, explained it all in a photo posted on social media of him lying in a hospital bed on Monday.
'Last week was a bit rough,' he began.
'Went in for what l thought was routine upper endoscopy to check out my esophagus.
According to the Mayo Clinic, an upper endoscopy 'is a procedure used to visually examine the upper digestive system.'

'This is done with the help of a tiny camera on the end of a long, flexible tube.
'When things don’t go as planned,' Matt continued, 'and the Doc tells Caryn “we had some complications."'
Caryn Chandler is the Roloff Farms owner's fiancée.
They got engaged in April and announced the news on social media with a photo of Caryn wearing a large diamond engagement ring.
