Is this Idris Elba's James Bond moment?

The British star - who has long been touted as a possible replacement to Daniel Craig's 007 - is showing off his action chops in a thrilling new trailer unveiled Thursday for the upcoming Apple TV+ miniseries Hijack.

The 50-year-old performer starred as a negotiator who is tasked with convincing a team of criminals who have taken over a plane to stand down peacefully.

The trailer began with Sam Nelson, played by Elba, making his way through Dubai International Airport before boarding a plane bound for London.

Shortly after takeoff, a team of criminals took control of the aircraft and demanded cooperation from the flight's passengers, with their apparent leader making a reference to an 'operation.'

Nelson's wife Marsha, played by Christine Adams, then stated that she had received a message from onboard the flight, and when a detective asked their son what his father did for a living, he stated: 'It's difficult to explain.'

Marsha then added that her husband was a negotiations expert and 'the best at handling it.'
