Holly Willoughby has returned to social media for the first time since Phillip Schofield quit This Morning.

The presenter has taken a break from the ITV show in the wake of the exit after it was claimed the pair had fallen out, and is due to return on June 5.

Appearing in her first post since Phillip announced his departure on Saturday, Holly posed for a beaming image shared on the Instagram account for her lifestyle brand Wylde Moon.

In it the star proudly showed off her attempt at making Kedegree, a dish demonstrated by Clodagh McKenna on This Morning.

When Holly returns, she will host This Morning alongside other members of the ITV family while Phil will move on to other primetime projects.

It comes after it was announced Holly would not be returning to This Morning this week after Phillip left the show.

The duo's reign as the star couple of the ITV programme came to an end on Saturday as Phil quit with immediate effect.

The TV presenter bowed out of the programme following reports of a feud with his co-host Holly, with Thursday 18 May being his last ever show.

It was announced Holly would take a break - although her time off has been planned in advance.
