Al Roker has made a triumphant return to Today weeks after his knee replacement surgery, the latest health issue to plague the beloved weatherman

Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie happily announced 68-year-old Roker's official comeback on Tuesday to the show's audience toward the top of the broadcast.

'Look who's here!' she remarked while cohost Hoda Kotb and some of their behind-the-scenes colleagues applauded.

'You've got a brand knew knee! Does it still have that new knee smell?' Guthrie continued.

'I don't want to go there,' Roker quipped. 'We're putting it to use!'

He added: 'It's all good.'

'We're so happy you're back all,' Kotb gushed.

'It's good to see you guys,' Roker responded before turning to address the audience: 'It's good to see you folks.'

The longtime morning-show weatherman had been off the air for much of this month, with his last full broadcast being on May 8.

That final appearance came one day prior to his scheduled surgery on May 9.

The following day, Roker's nearly one million Instagram followers were treated to an inspiring 50-second montage set to Dire Straits' Walk of Life in which the beloved TV personality could be seen in recovery, walking about amid a physical therapy session at NYC's Hospital For Special Surgery.

Roker made a soft return to Today this past Thursday, to the surprise and delight of cohosts Sheinelle Jones, Craig Melvin and Dylan Dreyer.

The three anchors had been in the midst of celebrating National Wine Day with a guest when Roker suddenly emerged from backstage, letting out a warm, bellowing laugh upon seeing his coworkers.

'Jesus Christ!' Melvin exclaimed, happily declaring 'He's back early!' as Dreyer and Jones embraced their colleague.

Earlier this month Roker made a virtual cameo on Today, checking in with his coworkers from his kitchen at home shortly after returning from the hospital.

'How are you feeling?' Kotb eagerly asked, to which Roker cheerily responded: 'It's Monday, I'm home from the hospital, it's just another day!'

The Saturday prior to his surgery, on May 6, Roker posted an Instagram video during a walk through Central Park.
