Elon Musk's ex-girlfriend Grimes reveals she got a MASSIVE red tattoo running ... trends now

The electronic future pop musician Grimes revealed on Thursday that she had gotten an enormous tattoo inked on her leg and thigh.

The 35-year-old singer — who rose to greater prominence after dating and then welcoming two children with Elon Musk — shared a photo of the striking red-ink tattoo to her Instagram stories.

Meanwhile, the tattoo artist, who appears to go by Daniela and seemingly did the work in Los Angeles, shared even more views of the new look to their Instagram account.

Grimes (born Claire Boucher) has added her latest body modification after previously revealing a desire to undergo surgery to give her 'elf ears.'

For her latest change, Grimes got a design that evoked fantasy and science fiction imagery. 

The tattoo featured jagged, thorn-like outcroppings in mirror image designs that somewhat resembled the inkblots from the Rorschach test.

The tattoo began just above her ankle and then continued well up past her kneecap onto her thigh.

Although the design was fairly abstract, it had an animalistic appearance thanks to claw-like edges.

The portion of the tattoo on her thigh also resembled a bony bat wing, though it was considerably stylized.

The size and intricacy of the design suggests that inking it was a lengthy process, but Grimes seemed to be in high spirits about the results.

'V nice v nice,' she wrote in her Insta Stories post while tagging the artist. 'Will get a better photo when I'm free @caidasindesamparo.'

Grimes was dressed in a grungy casual style for her tattoo session with a pair of oddly shaped, baggy gray corduroy pants, a loose-fitting black graphic T-shirt, and green-toed white athletic socks.

The musician, who has recently suggested she might split royalties with any person who uses her voice in AI-generated music, already has an extensive tattoo collection.
