Rumer Willis revealed that she had to go to unusual lengths to give birth to her first daughter in a new interview.

The 34-year-old eldest daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis shared on Mondays' episode of the Informed Pregnancy podcast that her water had not broken by the time that she went into labor.

In order to keep the process moving along, she shared that she had to break her own amniotic sac.

Rumer, who welcomed her daughter Louetta at the end of April, previously said she planned for an unmedicated birth.

She shared in the podcast episode, the second of a two-part series, that she was joined for the birth by a doula, along with her mother Demi, her sisters Tallulah and Scout Willis and her partner Derek Richard Thomas.

'And so, I was like, "Well, should we break it?"' she added, noting that hhe doula let her take the lead.

'She goes, "Well, you can." I'm like, "What?" I was like, "Are you serious?"

The celebrity daughter felt around for herself and was able to confirm that the amniotic sac was still intact.

'I reached my finger up there, and I'm feeling and it was crazy,' she continued. 'I could totally feel this little bag — it feels like a water balloon, but with a bit tougher skin.'
