Walt Willey will be joining a new soap opera.

On Wednesday Soap Opera Digest reported that the actor will be reprising his All My Children character Jackson Montgomery for another soap opera, General Hospital.

Willey, 72, confirmed the news on his Facebook account.

'Been sitting on this one for a while but now I’ve been given the clearance to announce that Jackson Montgomery is visiting Port Charles!' he shared.

'I'll be doing a few episodes of General Hospital, due to air in mid-July. '

Willey portrayed Montgomery on All My Children from 1987 to the show’s end in 2011 

This is not the first time Willey has portrayed the district attorney on a series outside of All My Children. In 1996 he played Jackson on seven episodes of The City.

He follows the lead of several other All My Children stars who have gone on to appear in General Hospital, including Finola Hughes, Robin Scorpio, Michael E. Knight, Cameron Mathison, Rebecca Budig, and James Patrick Stuart.
