Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny on track $70M opening weekend trends now

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny may have a very impressive opening weekend at the box office when it comes out on Fourth Of July weekend.

The sequel looks as if it could bring in as much as $70 million over the time frame which spans from June 30 until July 2, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

This year Fourth Of July falls on a Tuesday.

This is the fifth Indiana Jones movie which stars Harrison Ford. His co-star Phoebe Waller-Bridge is new to the franchise.

Also in the cast are Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Ethann Isidore and Mads Mikkelsen. 

The movie is a sequel to 2008’s Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. 

James Mangold is the director, picking up after Steven Spielberg helmed the first four movies.

In the last trailer Ford, 80, was seen in his famous hat as Indiana Jones.

And he was seen back in action, literally, as he rode a horse in NYC, raced a tuk-tuk and jumped out of a burning plane while being chased by bad guys. There is also a scene with a giant rolling boulder.

Also seen was Waller-Bridge in a prominent role as Indy's goddaughter who pulls the archeologist out of retirement.

She wants to search for treasure that Indy says he has been looking for 'all my life.'

'Dad told me you found something on a train, a dial, which could change the course of history,' says Waller-Bridge, revealing exactly what the chase was about.

Ford is also seen in flashback images with Nazis that seems to have required de-aging technology. Or they could have been lifted
