The busy filmmaker released two films last year, Armageddon Time (2022) and Harka (2022). Kesha confirmed they were dating three months ago.
This comes after a preliminary legal win against Dr Luke.
On Tuesday, New York's top appeals court sided with the singer in her legal battle with her former manager, making it harder for him to prove in trial that she defamed him by accusing him of rape in 2014, according to Billboard.
The trial will start on July 19 and run through July 26, after being delayed.
Their long-running legal battle began in 2014 when Dr Luke, born Lukasz Gottwald, sued her for defaming him through 'false and shocking' allegations that he drugged and raped her.
Dr Luke claims Kesha's ulterior motive for the allegations was financial; she wanted to negotiate a better deal for herself contractually.
The Court of Appeals in New York's ruling stated that Dr Luke is legally considered a 'public figure.' In 2010, he was named both the Number One Hot 100 Songwriter of the Year and Number One Producer of the Year by Billboard.
To prove defamation, he must demonstrate that Kesha intended to inflict 'actual malice' with her statements. This is a challenging legal obstacle to overcome.
A year before the allegations against Dr. Luke, in September 2013, a devoted Kesha fan initiated a petition to free the singer from Dr. Luke's management.
