Shannen Doherty wishes former Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Brian Austin Green ... trends now

Actor Brian Austin Green celebrated his milestone 50th birthday on Saturday, July 15.

Friend and former Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Shannen Doherty took to her Instagram page to pay tribute to Green, whom she starred with on the original series for four seasons (1990-1994), and again in the reboots of sorts, BH90210, in 2019.

'Happy birthday B. I love you @brianaustingreen,' she gushed in the caption, alongside a couple of photos that showed the two actors arm-in-arm.

In the cover picture, the actress can be seen poolside with her right arm wrapped around Green shoulders, as fellow co-star Ian Ziering is snuggled up to her left, while they all flash big smiles.

There's also a second photo where Green's 21-year-old son Kassius struck a pose with his dad, Doherty and a couple of friends by that same pool.

The sweet birthday gesture comes just over a month after Doherty went public and her stage four breast cancer has spread to her brain.

Doherty, who has been sharing about her experience living as a cancer survivor on Instagram, has been seen enjoying the summer with family and friends in recent weeks. 

First diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, the Memphis, Tennessee native had a single mastectomy in May 2016, which was followed by the chemotherapy treatments and radiotherapy, because the cancer was more advanced than previously thought.

The following years she went public and announced that her cancer was in remission. 

But in February 2020, the Charmed star revealed the cancer had returned the previous year, and that doctors had now deemed the cancer to be stage four.

This past January Doherty had surgery to have a tumor removed from her head, which she documented on the social media platform in mid-June.
