Lauren Phillips tears up as she speaks about having a near nervous breakdown ... trends now

Lauren Phillips has spoken candidly about her split from ex-husband Lachlan Spark back in 2018, after just one year of marriage. 

The media personality, who is now engaged to aviation boss Paul O'Brien, almost broke down in tears as she shared how she overcame the heartbreak. 

Lauren, 36, shared an empowering message on her KIIS 101.1 radio show last week, saying she never thought she'd be happy in love again after her divorce. 

The presenter touched on her near-nervous breakdown and promised that anyone going through a tough time 'will come out the other side'. 

She said she recently met up with her mother in Barcelona while on holiday and her mother said she hadn't seen her so 'happy' in a long time.   

'Hearing my mum get so emotional like that and say she hasn't seen me happy like that in a long time... While this is such a happy time it has made me reflect on how hard it was to get here,' Lauren bravely said. 

'A few years ago, I didn't think I'd be this happy. I have an extreme amount of gratitude for the people who saw me at the worst and now at my best.'

'But I just want to say to the people fighting something at the moment, a breakup, difficulties at work or grieving and dealing with loss. Just keep pushing,' she said. 

'And if you find the people in your corner hold onto them and believe in them and yourself because they're believing in you to come out the other side and I promise you, you can,' she sweetly said. 

Underneath the clip of the moment that was shared on the radio show's Instagram page, one person commented: 'Beautiful words Lauren. You deserve every happiness in the world ❤️.'

Lauren previously revealed on her radio show that she almost had a 'nervous breakdown' following her split from ex-husband Lachlan Spark in 2018.

She said the relationship ended badly after she 'sacrificed her own health' trying to make things work.
