Tim Robards and Matthew Mitcham both passed selection during Wednesday night's finale of SAS Australia.
The remaining recruits were tasked with combining all the skills they've learnt into a three-phase final mission to pass the course and make selection.
Phase 1 – A psychological test to control their emotions while recording a death message to their loved ones.
Phase 2 – A brutal physical test of grit, determination and stamina with a desert run and perilous ascent to the summit of a mountain range.
And finally Phase 3 – A task of pure bravery to infiltrate enemy territory under heavy fire and locate hostages while risking their own lives to transport them to safety.
