As Heidi Klum proves she is the Queen of Halloween with an elaborate peacock ... trends now

Heidi Klum is known for her love of Halloween and her extravagant, intricate and bizarre costume ideas.

The supermodel, 50, has won worldwide acclaim for her annual star-studded 'Heidiween' Halloween extravaganza, in which she has shocked and surprised celebrity guests and fans with her boundary-pushing outfits.

And this year, Heidi didn't disappoint as she made a grand entrance at her 22nd annual Heidiween celebration, held at the Marquee in New York, on Tuesday. 

She wore an elaborate peacock costume that was supported by a total of 10 people and she even stood on top of a similarly dressed member of her entourage, who formed the bottom half of the dramatic look.

The star has never shied away from extensive prosthetics to wow during spooky season including her iconic 2015 Jessica Rabbit costume which saw the model sport face and body implants.

She also transformed into a senior citizen in 2013 complete with wrinkles, age spots and yellow teeth, and last year dressed up as a creepy ribbed red worm.

After the Queen of Halloween once again triumphed at her incredible annual party, DailyMail.com looks back at her craziest costumes yet...

This year, Heidi once again managed to turn heads as she sported a very elaborate peacock Halloween costume.

She was supported by a total of 10 people to complete the intricate costume as she posed up a storm for the cameras, looking unrecognizable in the Halloween garb.

Heidi's portion of the costume consisted of a tight blue velvet bodysuit and a face covering with a yellow beak and a bedazzled head. Atop her head was a feathered embellishment.

The runway phenomenon — who dressed up as a creepy ribbed red worm at last year's celebrations — stood on top of a similarly dressed member of her entourage, who formed the bottom half of the dramatic look.

Heidi was also joined by her husband Tom Kaulitz, 34, who was dressed as a large white egg, and daughter Leni Klum, 19, who showed off her incredible figure in a racy pink outfit.

Behind her, forming the magnificent tail of her costume, were a number of people in green bodysuits with peacock eyespots. On their backs were fanned out wings that matched their green costumes. 

While posing for the shutterbugs the blonde beauty hilariously planted a kiss on her egg husband. 

Heidi took six hours and 10 Cirque Du Soleil artists to create her peacock Halloween costume after revealing she wanted to create 'something very elaborate' for the season after dressing as a 'minimal kind of rainworm' for her 2022 bash.

She told Entertainment Tonight: 'Hair and makeup maybe took six hours, but really it was more in the planning, meeting with the artists, figuring out their costumes and makeup.'

When it came to deciding on this year's extravagant outfit, she was keen to get 'multiple people' involved after going more lowkey and static with last year's costume.

She explained: 'Just because I was this very minimal kind of rainworm [in 2022], I wanted to make something very elaborate and I wanted to make a costume with multiple people.

'I started thinking about, what could that be? What thing could that be, what animal, what creature?

'I was thinking a peacock because a peacock is kind of together with the feathers and then it opens up. And I wanted to make an art performance out of it.'

2022 - THE WORM

Klum slithered into a creepy ribbed red worm costume for her 21st annual Halloween party at Sake No Hana in New York, before stripping down in a sizzling sheer sequined bodysuit while retaining her creepy worm face. 

Heidi ditched her stocky costume inside the party and put a jaw-dropping display in a transparent bedazzled bodysuit and brown boots, however she did hold on to her face mask.

The bombshell blonde let her voluminous blonde curls down, and happily posed with her other half.

Earlier, when she wore her worm costume, the only visible part of the runway sensation's face were her eyes and smile, while the rest of her was covered by the unique costume, which featured a tail.

The runway phenomenon covered up her hazel eyes with bright yellow eye contacts and even completed interviews while laying on the ground.

2015 - JESSICA RABBIT

The AGT judge looked completely unrecognizable as she got the look down with a fake chest and bottom that gave her an hourglass figure on steroids. 

The model had spent days in a prosthetic lab to create her stunning look. 

Heidi dressed as Ms Rabbit from the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The cartoon was voiced by Kathleen Turner. 

Her face was completely different. Heidi had very large lips and eyebrows worn very high. Her shadow was purple and her lashes were inches long. 

'Let's get this party started,' the Project Runway star alerted her friends and fans alongside a photo that showed her fresh-faced with hair pulled back into a tight bun.

Heidi sat still as the technicians applied flesh-toned make-up to her forehead and cheeks before lowering a thick, skin-like mask over her entire face.

Just her eyes, nose and mouth were peeking out as the make-up experts worked tirelessly perfecting the 'face.' 

2013 - HEIDI THE SENIOR CITIZEN

Heidi transformed into a wrinkled old lady thanks to an Oscar-winning make-up team for her 14th annual Halloween bash in 2013.

The supermodel dressed geriatric by donning pearls, a white wig, a skirt-suit costume, and a cane.

Heidi appeared to love ever minute of her entrance, joking with photographers as she held up her walking stick.

The German stunner shared the dedicated, lengthy process behind her old-age makeover with her 1.9 million Twitter followers.

'Ok guys...here I go into the future,' she tweeted. 'Fun times!'

Heidi had a bald cap, varicose veins, wrinkly prosthetics, and a hunched spine applied by make-up maestros Bill Corso and Mike Marino.

2016 - HEIDI'S ATTACK OF THE CLONES

The  model hit the red carpet of her 17th Annual Halloween Party in New York City with five clones. 

No doubt a lot of careful planning went into the reveal as each of the other women had prosthetics put on their faces to look just like the German-born beauty at the gala event held at the Vandal restaurant.

Obviously some looked exactly like the former Victoria's Secret Angel while other faces missed the mark just a bit.

There was plenty of attention to detail paid to the look as they wore completely matching outfits including a nude-colored patterned bodysuit featuring gold metallic studs.

As if that wasn't enough they all had their dirty blonde locks
