Flora is in a bit of a predicament of herself, as she's been cooped up in the jewelry box following a long-forgotten dispute with a sorcerer dating all the way back to 77 B.C.
Since then, she's reluctantly granted wishes to greedy men who only want sex, money and power.
However, her life takes an unexpected turn when Bernard Bottle, played by Emmy nominee Essiedu, inadvertently summons her.
This chance encounter offers Flora an opportunity to use her powers for a noble cause, or so it seems.
Bernard was all about work, and in the process, he lost sight of the stuff that truly matters: his marriage to Julie (played by Tony nominee Denée Benton) and their adorable daughter, Eve (portrayed by Jordyn Mcintosh).
Bernard messes up big time by missing Eve's birthday, which conveniently lands just 12 days before Christmas.
This blunder leads to a rough patch with his wife and even a pink slip from his nasty boss, who's played by none other than Tony-winning star Alan Cumming.
Now, Bernard's left all on his lonesome, nursing a broken heart.

He stumbles upon an old jewelry box, and it turns out it's got the key to a whole new friendship with Flora and a major holiday adventure.
This adventure might be his one shot at fixing his mistakes and reuniting his family in time for Christmas.
But there's a catch – he needs to help his newfound genie buddy adjust to the modern world first.
This includes Flora having a first taste of pizza...
