Cher will appear at the end of the star-studded lineup for the 97th annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, it was announced on Thursday.

The 77-year-old star will arrive just before Santa and his sleigh show up to mark the official beginning of the Christmas season.

The Thanksgiving Day Parade, which first debuted in 1924, is presented by department store chain Macy's.

The parade will also feature appearances by Jon Batiste; Bell Biv DeVoe; Brandy as well as performances by Broadway’s & Juliet, Back to the Future: The Musical, How To Dance In Ohio, and Spamalot, with a special appearance by Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells of Gutenberg! The Musical!

This news come after the legendary singer released her first-ever Christmas album on October 20.

The songs the I Got You Babe singer will be performing have not been disclosed but there's a very good chance a tune from her new album of holiday songs will make the cut.  'They're not Christmas Christmas songs, OK, they're just great songs,' Cher explained in an interview with Billboard.
