The 77-year-old country star explained the reason why she chose not to perform at football's biggest night was because she 'didn't think I was big enough to do that big of a production.'
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published on Thursday, she said: 'I couldn't do it because of other things, or I just didn't think I was big enough to do it — to do that big of a production.'
The 10-time Grammy winner — who dazzled in a Halloween-themed dress at a ribbon cutting for her fashion exhibition over the weekend — continued: 'When you think about those shows, those are big, big productions. I've never done anything with that big of a production.
'I don't know if I could have,' she added. 'I think, at the time, that's what I was thinking.'

In lieu of a halftime show, she said she would consider doing 'a production show' after releasing her first rock album Rockstar — which will drop later this month on November 17.
'It would make more sense,' she explained in regards to the halftime show — which will see Usher headlining the forthcoming Super Bowl show on February 11, 2024.
Since she will be releasing her rock 'n' roll album, she said she is open to the idea of doing a bigger performance.
'That might change,' she said. 'I might be able to do a production show.'
