Millie Bobby Brown is elegant in black gown while Nicky Hilton and Brooke ... trends now

Millie Bobby Brown, Nicky Hilton Rothschild and Brooke Shields lead the glam parade at the star-studded Glamour Women Of The Year celebration in New York on Tuesday.

The Stranger Things star, 19, opted for an elegant look in a sleeveless silk black gown with a unique mixed-metal halter for the event, which took place at the Jazz at Lincoln Center.

The actress was the recipient of the Global Woman of the Year award, and during her speech she gave a sweet nod to her future mother-in-law, Dorothea Hurley - the mom of her fiancé Jacob Bongiovi, 21. 

Other Glamour Women of the Year honorees included Brooke, Quinta Brunson, Mary J. Blige, Geena Rocero, Selma Blair, and America Ferreira. 

While Millie opted for a classically chic look, Nicky, 40, wore a more playful sparkling pink sequin gown with feather sleeves.

Shields, 58, also chose a more colorful look, wearing a shimmering multi-color sequin gown.

Millie let her dress do all the talking, accessorizing only with a pair of gold hoop earrings.

She completed her look with a stylishly messy bun and delicate makeup.

Her beau Jake joined her on the red carpet, and looked handsome as ever in a black suit and a white button-up, which he left partly undone. 

During her speech at this year's awards Millie talked about the women who have inspired her, including fellow honoree Brooke.

Jake's mom Dorothea presented her with the award, with the two ladies sharing a warm embrace onstage.

'Thank you, Dorothea, for your kind words. It means so much to me that you are here tonight. Your passion to help others with your humanitarian work inspires me, and I hope to be half the woman you are,' Millie said, as per Glamour.

She then praised Dorothea for her parenting skills.

'Dorothea has raised her son, my fiancé, to feel comfortable around strong women. To see women as equals. To be an ally, which is exactly what we need.'

'Mothers who have those open and transparent conversations with their sons can promote gender equality for my generation and the next.'

She also gave a shoutout to her own mom, Kelly Brown, calling her 'the person who nurtured and raised me while encouraging me to strive for my dreams and made me a stronger person.' 

'Thank you for lifting my chin up and wiping my tears. For holding my hand when I am scared. For loving me unconditionally. Your heart and soul is everything I want to be and more,' she sweetly stated. 

It was a family affair for Millie, who was joined by her mom as well as her dad Bobby Brown at the gala. 

Like Millie, Nicky also wore her light blonde tresses in a chic blonde bun for the evening.

The sister of Paris Hilton finalized her outfit with a pair of strappy silver heels. 

While inside the event Nicky mingled with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' lady love, Lauren Sanchez, 53, who put on a busty display in a tight red gown.

Meanwhile Brooke accessorized her sparkling backless gown with a clutch. Keeping up with the night's hairstyle trend, she also rocked a chic messy bun.

While on the red carpet Brooke mingled with actress Ali Wentworth, 58, and playfully planted a kiss in her cheek. 

Chloe Grace Moretz, 26, cut a stylish figure in a black blazer and matching black leather pants.

The Carrie star added a pop of color to her look with a green purse.

She wore her blonde tresses in a sharp part-side bob, and sported dark red lipstick for the occasion.
