Janelle Monae oozed glamour in a dazzling black dress as she attended the Harper's Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards on Tuesday evening.

The American singer-songwriter, 37, turned heads at the star-studded ceremony in London's most iconic hotel as she arrived into Claridge's.

Janelle was lucky enough to win the Musician award for her exceptional talent, presented by Olivia Colman.

And celebrating her win, Janelle posed up a storm on the carpet with the glass gong after the ceremony.

She looked effortlessly stylish in the plunging black gown and enhanced her slender physique through the flared-waist detailing.

The statement bustier detailed a horseshoe, fitted with pearl and studded embellishments.

Janelle uniquely swept her hair back into a flick, teamed her outfit with a matching peal clutch bag. 

Launched in 2007, the famous evening celebrates women in the worlds of fashion, film, music, art, philanthropy, activism and literature.

Janelle recently stunned on the cover for Harper's Bazaar December/ January issue, prior to receiving the Musician Award, held in partnership with Harry Winston.

Alongside the shoot, she spoke about their personal and musical evolution, culminating in the release of their genre-defying recent album The Age of Pleasure.

She said: 'Dancing is one of my love languages.

'When you leave here, you’re going to be reborn. I don’t make the rules! I just break them.'

Following her outing, fans recently joked that Janelle had upstaged the Queen of Halloween Heidi Klum this year.
