The first trailer for the movie Candy Cane Lane was released on Wednesday.
Eddie Murphy, 62, stars in the holiday film with Tracee Ellis Roos playing his wife.
The synopsis: A man makes a deal with a mischievous elf who casts a magic spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life.
The film, directed by Reginald Hudlin, is set to be released on December 1, 2023.
The clip opens with Murphy telling his family to 'not freak out' over his Christmas surprise.

When he steps into the Kringle store and is surprised by a woman as he looks at the gorgeous decorations, it is hinted something could go terribly wrong.

Prime Video released first looks of the film on Tuesday.
The studio shared a poster featuring the Oscar nominee holding a string of holiday lights and wearing a black turtleneck sweater with a graphic of Santa riding a unicorn.
'Don’t elf around with holiday magic,' the publicity department wrote next to the photo on social media.

It is his first live-action holiday movie in his 40 plus year career.
The film re-united Eddie with Boomerang director Reginald.
The director described Eddie's character, Chris Carver, to People, as a man who loves Christmas so much he’s even given all his kids Christmas-themed names.'
