Meshel Laurie had some choice words for Channel Ten's The Project and Steve Price after he took aim at Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan on Tuesday night's program.

Price brutally took down Allan, calling her 'weak' and accusing her of using 'weasel words' to duck responsibility for allowing masked neo-Nazis to brazenly march down the main street of Ballarat, 115km north west of Melbourne

'I was tempted to draw attention to some annoying s**t @steveprice7571 said on @theprojecttv but then I remembered it's the witness protection program of tv shows these days, and should stay that way,' Laurie wrote on Instagram.

'I only know about it because of a headline. I shan't shine a further light on the mediocrity.'

Meshel, who used to be a panellist of the show, added: 'Be gone little man. Into the past where you belong. Good bye. Go and play your golf.'

Laurie took further swipes at The Project and Price in the comments of her post.

'What was said? I’ve missed the project recently,' a follower asked, to which the podcast host replied 'Australia's missed @theprojecttv recently babe. It’s really nothing.

'[Price is] just using this tv show to try and keep the former Victorian Premier out of his prestigious golf club. Very relatable during a cost of living crisis.'

Laurie also revealed her departure on The Project in 2019 was due to a 'change of direction on their part' and cited speaking 'the truth' for the reason she's 'no longer there.'
