He and former Saturdays singer Mollie, 36, announced their engagement on New Year's Day after he popped the question while they were out for a walk.
Discussing his retirement on Thursday's Good Morning Britain, Stuart said: 'I've got a bit more time on my hands to get married now.'
Host Ben Shephard asked if Mollie was dragging him into the wedding preparations and Stuart replied: 'Exactly.'

Mollie and Stuart were first linked in March 2018, but briefly split five months later in August 2018.
The couple were spotted together again in February 2019, and confirmed they had reunited the following month.
Stuart then went on to talk about his one year old daughter, Annabella, who he shares with Mollie.
He said: 'Annabella's been an absolute dream. It's one of the most incredible things - to be a parent and be a dad and that's played a huge part in me moving away from the playing side.'
He added: 'With cricket, you do travel so much, it's so uncontrolled. You're told you're going on tour for 12 weeks
