Cricket great Steve Smith has walked away with an eye-watering profit of $2.75million after finally offloading his pad in Sydney's eastern suburbs for $6.75million.

Smith, 34, was originally seeking $7million-plus for the four-bedroom, three-bathroom Bronte property which he has had on the market since last October.

He bought the original California bungalow in 2019 for $3.505million and later splashed out a reported $495,000 on a massive renovation which included adding a second level, bathrooms and a fourth bedroom.

Smith cancelled two scheduled auctions in the hopes for getting his original price before lowering the sales guide to $6.5million reports The Daily Telegraph.

Located just 9kms from the CBD and situated only streets away from Bronte beach, the new design has converted the mid-20th century original into a chic ultra-modern resort style home.
