Kacey Musgraves is embarrassed as she suffered wardrobe malfunction on SNL ... trends now

Kacey Musgraves has revealed that she had suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction as she joined Sydney Sweeney on the Saturday Night Live sign-off.

The 35-year-old Grammy award winning musician - who recently revealed she was done smoking weed - took to X (formally Twitter) to reveal her outfit mishap.

She retweeted a fan who posted a snap of she and the 26-year-old blonde bombshell looking at each other while explaining that she had forgotten to remove a white clip from her hair before getting back on stage.

Kacey wrote: 'The clip. I forgot to remove the clip. [dotted line face emoji]' 

During the sign-off the High Horse hitmaker hugged the busty host Sydney before saying her goodbyes to the cast and crew of the live comedy variety show. 

She looked absolutely stunning in a denim maxi dress featuring a thigh-high split  and brown knee high booties.

Her signature raven-colored tresses were worn down as she accentuated her natural looks with complementary make-up.

 She wore the same ensemble sans the hair clip earlier in the night as she performed new song Too Good To Be True.

Before that she rocked  a blue and white robe jacket which resembled a quilt as she went barefoot for her performance of the title track from her upcoming album Deeper Well.

Days earlier she revealed she's done smoking marijuana for now as referenced in that aforementioned track. 

The artist — who endured a tough breakup late last year — revealed that she was an avid fan of weed in her early 20s and even had a reputation for it. However, she hasn't been partaking for quite some time.

'It’s not for this chapter,' she told The Cut on Friday, adding that at 35, she's in a more 'focused' phase of her life.

'Maybe later, when I’m a 60-year-old lady with nothing to do and I’m just doing pottery all day, maybe,' she added. 'We’ll see.'
