Jy Simpkin is in recovery after he took a nasty blow to the head from St Kilda defender Jimmy Webster during a practice.
The North Melbourne Kangaroos player, 26, was left concussed when he was flattened on the field by his rival, but thankfully he's now in good hands.
Girlfriend Demi Brereton has been nursing the athlete back to health, and assured on Thursday night he is 'doing really well', reported the Herald Sun.
Before stepping out at the Royal Exhibition Building during the Melbourne Fashion Festival, the model, 27, told the publication she had become 'nurse Demi'.
'He's doing really well, I'm just being nurse Demi. Football is so unpredictable,' she said.
